I picked up a tub of herbalism few month ago when it promised to balance the skin and I desperately needed a new cleanser. I was in a hurry so I just read the tub, didn’t check the inside, paid and left.
When I got home I opened it and discovered that it’s not like any cleanser I’ve previously tried.
It is solid, has a very strong herbal smell and it is green- the colour of nettles. I have heard nettles are good for the skin so I was excited to use this and see improvement in my skin. It is mainly for acne prone skin
Application.
You take a small amount and mix it with a bit of water to make it into a paste, this is the messy part as too much water can make it run out so just a small amount of water would be enough. I read reviews on this and realised people used the herbalism cleanser on their face only however on the package it says face and body so I used it for both. Mainly body.
Ingredients.
Nettles, rosemary and rice bran vinegar, Chamomile blue oil and rose absolute. Rice bran and ground almonds, chlorophyllin is extracted from alfalfa, which is rich in vitamins and minerals.
Did lush herbalism cleanser work?
For me, it definitely did work. I was quite happy with the results as I have an acne prone skin which I have used many many products to help and majority did not help whereas this completely cleared it out.
It leaves my skin feeling all soft and nice. It has chamomile oil in it which I find quite calming.
Would I buy lush Herbalism cleanser again?
I just bought my second tube, and I was speaking to the sales assistant at lush who asked me if I used this before I said yeah and she said she loves it too. I didn’t use it for a month or two and I noticed my skin not behaving.
Evaluation.
The application is quite messy and annoying but I think I kind of got the hang of it. The smell: some people hates it however I quite liked the smell; it’s very strong herbal smell. As I said the texture is hard, goes pasty when mixed with water or milky if more water is added and it turns into a light green colour. Overall, I do like this product and it works for me. At just £6.75 for 100g I think it’s quite an affordable product and It does last quite some time.
I’ve got few more reviews lined up, however my laptop decided to die and showed me the blue screen of death and I’m trying to reset it but it’s taking days. Let’s see what happens, guess I have to save up for another one; maybe a MacBook, would be great. I will still blog from my iPad and take pictures with my phone or the iPad. I will also have a bit of a free time after exams (nearly finished, library is my home right now) so I might go around London taking pictures and doing reviews on restaurants and places to go…..ahh there’s so many things to write about.
